So I’ve been thinking about “Shamrock Diaries”, the album in every Middlesbrough Catholic household in the mid-80s. Chris Rea was from a mixed-Catholic family (Italian dad, Irish mam) and the album came out of spending an extended time in Ireland for the first time.
