I was watching "The Invisible Man" last night and he's always like "YOU BETTER LISTEN TO ME. OR I'LL STRANGLE YOU!!!" Getting strangled by a 5' 7" naked guy doesn't seem like much of a threat, even if he is invisible. Maybe he has Extreme Short King Energy though.

I don't understand this whole anti-reference thing I keep seeing floating around in the art community these days. How is anyone supposed to do portraits without reference? Memorize everything? That's impossible!

I just finished watching the original Dracula, and I realized they never show his fangs in that movie. It's implied there are "puncture wounds" on the necks of his victims, but there's never any visual indication of the wounds or what made them.

Fist of the North Star redemption arcs are like "he was a mass murdering hyper-violent psychopath, but that's only because of how gay he was for his martial arts rival, so we forgive him."

Ayden's list of Marvel Legends he wants for Christmas doesn't have any villains. It got me thinking about how comics are more character driven and drama focused now, and regular villains don't feel as important as they once did. Events are usually heroes vs heroes, or there's a Big Bad like Thanos.

I made a version without the dialog and tbh I think I like it better. It's a lot more ambiguous. They're just kinda staring at us. It's almost creepy!

For the early part of the week I was all art blocked, tired, and frustrated with work, and I thought something was wrong with me. Then I remembered I have also been on a diet, and I think I was just hungry. I had a bowl of broccoli yesterday for lunch. I had vegetarian hamburgers for supper.

I'm always happy for new commissions! I'm slower than I used to be, but I'm working on getting faster. I've been doing a ton of soul searching this year in order to get over all of my mental artistic hangups. Reprogramming my brain has been hard. If only there was an easy way to... bend my mind.

I don't like horror movies because, get this, there's enough real-life horror in the world already. I don't understand the purpose of fiction and I think it's basically real. I drove into a tunnel painted on a mountain wall, and then I backed up and did it again.

I was discussing "Nightmare Before Christmas" with a 3-year-old on the way back from Pre-School, and her take was that Jack wasn't good at Christmas because it's a holiday "for mommies".

From what I can tell, Ayane is in NG4 for less than five minutes. Maybe more of her will show up in the DLC? I have no idea what her place is in the story or her relationship to any of the characters from what I've seen.

Everyone always tells me my characters look like they're from TLA or Korra, which is weird because even though I've done a lot of Korra art, I've never watched an episode of either show. Google Lens confirms, because whenever I use it on my pictures, it always suggests art from those two shows 😅
