Asking for an author’s book at a library is a wonderful thing to do. The library buys the book, maybe even multiple copies, which really does help authors. A simple request can spread a lot of good around. Also I just love libraries and I’m always happy when someone checks out one of my books. 📚

Strange Horizons is IMO the grandparent of indie online SFF zines. Started IIRC by young writers w no pro publishing experience, online, free to read, paying good rates. Later a 501c3 nonprofit.
