It took about 12 hours from finding the bomb to defusing it. In between they evacuated 21,000 people, including 7 senior care homes. What an incredible achievement. It’s scary that WWII still has such consequences today. And this was the positive outcome. Just think if one would explode!

To be clear - I'm not against it per se. I just find it tricky sometimes as it gets in the way of the writing, and makes communication more difficult. How do you make the writing inclusive while still impactful and readable, I suppose is my question.

Anyone want to give an opinion on gendern? Spoke to my 23yr old daughter yesterday, and even she (links, feminist, green, v sozial) thinks it's a pain, and not really useful. She gets why it's needed, but thinks it just makes more difficult to read. Maybe her dyslexia plays a part here.

I can confirm all of this. No one told me that my anxiety symptoms could be due to perimenopause or that urinary issues needed more than ‘Beckenboden training’. Learned all I needed to from friends or social media and had to (firmly!) request HRT. At which point, anxiety all but disappeared.
