a person writing a book where something that makes you feel bad happens is not hurting you. you are wildly out of line if you confront them.

it would be a very different world if every cis writer and scholar both acted with this kind of steadfast moral principle and actually listened to the youth with the patience and curiosity this essay evinces

sooo much of this book is about desperately trying to have crossgender cybersex (often going to lengths to avoid anyone knowing that it's crossgender)

Ashitaka's story emphasizes the importance of having two girlfriends, one who is nice but evil and one who is mean but good, and you have to spend all of your time doing stuff for them

I want to see a movie about a group of trans femmes who get drunk and go bowling. In my mind, all of them are awful at bowling except one girl who is scary good. The movie would be about nothing except the experience of living out one evening. Like a Rick Linklater movie from 1992. Title: DOLL PINS

My story collection I'M NOT HUNGRY BUT I COULD EAT centers messy queer Puerto Rican men, their desires and pursuits of emotional satiation. But most of all it's a love letter to my twenties, all those long lonely nights and the brief sparks of connection found and lost.
