Super excited about how the Blackhawks finished this season and really can’t wait to see what the future holds! I expect next year we will be at least knocking on the door of the playoffs and we should keep improving for the next several years! Playoffs are gonna be fun, but… Is it October yet?

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.

This was a very hard week on every dimension imaginable. It seems impossible to endure get through a harsh cycle of trauma and healing, and that’s just the things on the path I’ve felt I have no choice but to take. Add in the constant barrage of news, and the future looks very bleak.

Just to be clear… these same people that were crying for years because of “cancel culture” that had virtually no negative impact to anyone’s livelihood are celebrating the mere idea that the things they don’t like are literally cancelled, suspended and defunded. Cool… cool. I’m sure this ends well.

Just got out of an advance screening of Companion. Went in totally blind and loved everything about it! I hope this gets talked about on the Film Cast as I think this might be a rare movie that @jeffcannata.bsky.social, @davechen.bsky.social and @devindra.bsky.social all can enjoy!

Perhaps I’m foolish and naive, but I’m clinging to hope that we still have enough functioning systems of government and layers of insulation down to the local level to resist total capitulation. If we manage to survive this and right the ship, history will not be kind to this most shameful time.

It never was about those things, but it has never been this blatant. I tend to stay even-keeled about this stuff. I am not alarmist, I report the news as accurately as possible. But the language is scary. It is precisely the dehumanizing language used to justify atrocity.

Everyone should be aware of the line that has been crossed in the Trump trans military EO. No longer is this about "evidence," "science" or "protecting kids." Now, explicitly, black and white, it's about trans people being "liars," "dishonorable," "false." It's a big step towards very bad things.

Recovering from surgery is much more physically exhausting then I ever could have imagined!

All sports are just games. For children. To learn teamwork and dedication.
