I was next to (one of) the AI slop booths at DragonCon and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. So, as you may or may not know, there was a booth selling AI slop images printed on acrylic panels at DragonCon. They were in booth a-10. I was in a-11. Here’s what happened from my perspective.

we're in a google system at work & recently it's started forcing "ai summaries" of conversations we are in the middle of in a chat. i need to stress how 99% of the time the summaries are wrong, like just wrong. Wrong assumptions, wrong understanding of what we're talking about, wrong on every level

I keep hearing that genAI is going to "revolutionize game design" so I've been doing some research into what kinds of games are using genAI as part of gameplay - that is, games where players provide some kind of input that is interpreted by an LLM like ChatGPT which then provide real-time responses.

Fucking hell dude... all open code-reviews at my company suddenly got their description/details nuked. It was someone using some bullshit AI tools. It wiped it all and there's no version history. I'm DONE with headass execs/leads shoving this everywhere and expecting money to appear from thin air.

AI companies: AI will increase productivity so much you won't need human employees any more as the AI can do all your work Also AI companies: we need our employees to be working every waking hour of every day.
