I'm looking to speak to folks who have worked as contractors via agencies or other third-parties, who have lost work recently as a part of restructurings/larger layoffs at companies like Xbox, Epic, Ubi, etc. Want to know about the larger, uncounted cost of these things. Email and Signal are in bio.

you know you're supporting local businesses when your item is delivered next day out of the back of the owner's personal sedan anyway I finally got an aeron to replace my $80 ikea chair and now I'll have excellent lumbar support for my shrimp posture

I’ve spent like six months of intermittent practice stuck on one piece in my piano book before I can really move on and it feels like a cruel irony that the piece I find so difficult is Johannes Brahma’s Lullaby like “ok time to get real serious and play a baby’s bedtime tune”

I recently learned that people will point fans at their indoor plants because they rely in the wind to build up strength in their stems so I’ve started taking my plants outside when its breezy and telling them they are going to the gym for strength training

I contributed to exactly 0.75 of a video game manifesto back in 2017. it's aged in the way of many manifestos, in that our attempt to be edgy and anti-commercial turned and became mainstream. "An Invitation to Cozy Games" oops

I’ve been working on my side project a lot lately which means emotionally I’m oscillating wildly between “I love making games this is so rad” and “fuck ui what do you mean my button stopped working and the window is now invisible and off screen and my font turned into a bunch of gray rectangles”

what I wanted: pollinators what I got: carpenter bees drilling a hole in my deck one thing I love is that all the non-lethal solutions involve things that seem like they were invented by witches, like "peppermint oil" and "wind chimes" and "mount a talisman that mimics their enemy (fake wasp nest)"
