So, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.

I have never once thought that TGA is anything like the Oscars and I don't know why that comparison keeps coming up. It's expensive? It gets lots of views? BAFTA, DICE, and GDCA are better much better matches. TGA are for the fans not the developers, and sometimes devs are fans, and awards are nice.

It is funny to me that on friday I bought a bunch of simulation heavy games for systems sickos, including Rimworld and Songs of Syx, but it's Two Point Museum that has won the battle over my time. Turns out I needed that lootbox dopamine hit in between decorating & optimizing my museum exhibits.
