Met a woman last night at the Craigie show who taught with Fiancee ages ago. She claimed to be "apolitical" & didn't like that Craigie "talks politics sometimes. I just want to hear him sing!" Took everything in me not to say, "Must be nice to live a life so privileged that you can be apolitical."

Didn't expect to get emotional watching a neighbor mow his lawn, but just a few months ago I watched with my heart in my throat as ICE surround his house. They only backed off because our neighborhood showed up in full force. Now there he is, out in the sun, completely in the open, unafraid 🥹

I remember my ex picking me up for lunch and taking me to KFC. I asked if he wanted anything and he said no. A few minutes later, he asked for a piece of my biscuit and I said no. He pulled a gun on me and told me to get out the car. I had to call someone to pick me up and take me back to work. 😩

"Heat pumps just shift gas burning to the power station." Wrong. Even if 100% of electricity came from gas, a heat pump at SCOP 3.8 uses 51% less gas than a boiler. At a terrible SCOP 2.5, still 25% less. David MacKay made this point in 2008. The maths hasn't changed.
