Whether you are almost done with the school year or just finished, I think it's really important to take time and consider whether the way your grading policy impacted your classroom and particularly the learning within it. (Even better: if you can, ask students about choices you made!)

I just deleted, "I appreciate how you are..." in formative feedback on a teacher candidate's learning journal and changed it to "you are....and that means..." My time with @katiewhite426.bsky.social this week and thinking about removing "I" from feedback is right up front in my brain!

Our 3rd and 4th days with @katiewhite426.bsky.social in the VSB brought together elementary Ts. Dug hard into S work looking for strengths FIRST.
