Just got home from the NCTM regional conference in Seattle. Appreciated features such as an opening panel including students’ voices instead of a singular keynote speaker, a math playspace, and other social spaces for attendees.

Had a lovely morning via zoom with coordinators and educators in the Child Care Resources & Referral network for the interior region of BC. I was invited to share key early math concepts, resources, materials and supports for families and caregivers.

The Math Art Lunch Club that I run for Grade 5-8 kiddos once every fortnight is just the loveliest. Even on a busy week, there is lots of joy.
