The smart answer for why so many people in ffxiv have silver hair is that their world has a white hair gene but my answer is that people just go gray really young and often from stress. Why do most of the scions and many plot relevant people have white hair? Because they are all stressed as fuck!!!!

i'm reminded of this whenever i see people upset about nobody properly tagging. when we do properly tag, you get upset anyway because you saw the tag. but if we don't tag, you apparently don't even recognize it as upsetting. this is why you can't police consent in art.

I feel like a better move from bsky would to add even more labels, like non con if they have found its an issue, because as annoying as contesting labels can be its at least not deletion & potentially marks against you and it allows people futher customisation of their experience

i'm against the new TOS because no matter how uncomfortable you are with certain subjects, it's very easy to see how bad-faith interpretations of art could be weaponized, especially against marginalized artists, who are more likely to be targeted for harassment #bskycensorship

it should go without saying but if you want users to voluntarily tag their art then you need to not threaten to ban them if they do. like, you can either have a well-regulated, easily-filtered art ecosystem or you can ban art you don’t like and see it come oozing back out of every crack and crevice

As the TrueRef library continues to grow so does our need to keep our prices up to date and a reflection of what we've added to our service. Is what I'd say if I just raised the prices of all our packs, but I didn't. Instead I lowered them! trueref.io

I already said it, but I will say it again - we need better MODERATION tools, not censorship guidelines. Automod is still incorrectly flagging art as explicit content when too much skin is showing or it represents LGBTQ+ community. We should be given more labels to what we post, not this.
