Comment: amid all the debate about Chelsea, the most serious point has been overlooked A now-sanctioned oligarch was able to manipulate English football through industrialised cheating - and this is barely addressed The meaning of the payments is as big

How the Chelsea case proves that cheats can prosper in the Premier League
Chelsea have avoided the most serious punishment, writes Miguel Delaney, but the Premier League must now address a wider issue to avoid undermining the very reason for its existence

Wenger got mocked and memed for years on end while other clubs, particularly Chelsea, had to break the law repeatedly to beat his Arsenal side. It is shameful but of course capitalism has no shame.

As a Manchester United fan I rightly expect absolutely no sympathy for the abject state of my club. I will also say: Wenger's Arsenal overwhelmed Manchester United fair and square, while Chelsea and Manchester City didn't, and football as a whole is still paying a huge price for that.

Give a lifetime contract to the ball boy who made Martinez walk all the way over to him at 2-0 then dropped the ball at his feet. Even better, Martinez picked up the ball cone and moved it closer for his next goal-kicks, and the ball boy moved it back.

Aston Villa have scored 20 goals in their last eight wins off an Expected Goals of 12.1. Emery's side have conceded nine goals off an xG Against of 12.5. Arsenal need to take their chances on Tuesday because it looks like Villa are riding a wave of good fortune.
