Senior writer for Daily Cannon. Everything Arsenal, from the youth teams to the senior side.
Canât complain about most of this Budapest trip. Fan park was class and good vibes, public transport worked and arrived when it said it would, stadium was nice. Shame the result goes and sours it all.

Sadly we only had one genuinely good penalty taker on the pitch at full time. We needed Saka, we needed Havertz, we needed Ădegaard, even Merino.

Happy with the team, obviously wouldâve liked Timber but it was never likely from the start with 0 minutes of build-up. Glad heâs in the squad. As my brother says, good to have Gyokeres coming on, rather than starting and coming off, in case of penalties.

The âneutralâ zones in this stadium appear to heavily skew in Arsenalâs favour. Like, they almost look like theyâre just more Arsenal seats.

Decent stadium. Great seats too. Can they kick off already?

Set to be sunny and 24 degrees at kick-off here in Budapest. Already a warm day, quite cloudy at the moment.

I had to watch the Palace match highlights yesterday, not because I couldnât wait to relive the win, but because I missed about half the game amid the celebrations in the stands đ

Said to my brother before Burnley that it was crazy that by the end of the week we could be 8 points clear of City or 4 behind them. Was just making a point about how much could still change, didnât expect to actually end up 7 clear.

Thought that the stifling heat and my aching legs wobbling as I stood on my seat after an hour of waiting would dull my emotional reaction to the trophy lift. But no, I still teared up. This is our club, back on top.

Hard to hear the announcements over the Arsenal fans, but I think they were just announcing that Palace will give out some end-of-season awards post-match, presumably before the trophy lift.

Feels good not to need to turn notifications on for the City game. They can enjoy their 6-0 win.

Thereâs a different kind of emotion looking at the Premier League table and seeing a letter next to your team instead of a number.

On a serious note, cool that the two players who took the most stick for us not winning the league in 23/24 (Trossard & Havertz) because of that one Villa match, ended up scoring the last winners to get us this title.

Bournemouth, proper team, by the way. This wasnât some crazy shock, this result was always a possibility. But nice to see a team actually step up and properly take on City as well.

Bukayo Saka, Premier League winner. William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Ădegaard, players who have been with us for many years and had many close calls, now Premier League winners.

Would I have liked to win it on the pitch? I guess. But knowing I can go to Selhurst Park on Sunday with the trophy already won, no nerves, and just watch our boys lift the trophy, canât beat that.

Another one where our goal was so obviously coming before we scored it. Need an early second-half goal to kill the contest and any remaining Burnley motivation. Someone draw Hannibal into a scrap, heâll get himself a second yellow.

With Mosquera coming in I think it makes perfect sense to start both Ădegaard and Eze, particularly as a really big win would feel like 4 points from a GD perspective. Come on Arsenal!

As soon as the ref put his hand to his ear after coming back from the screen, I knew it was being overturned. They never announce sticking to their original decision over the loudspeaker.

Definitely shouldâve scored before White went off, but since then weâve genuinely played like weâre trying to secure a draw. Donât understand suddenly putting Rice at RB at this stage of the season either, just play Mosquera.

So an unchanged lineup. Yeah, I think if you find something that works this late in the season you just tell them all to lock in for the run-in.

Tried to convince myself otherwise but never had any real hope for this game, it was always Everton (A) and Bournemouth (A) that caught my eye from Cityâs run-in. Doesnât matter if we win. Just sad that an Emirates trophy lift is now exceedingly unlikely (and on a Monday).

The âhow do we get there, I donât knowâ in the Budapest chant is always so appropriate for Champions League finals. In my case Iâm getting an overnight train arriving the morning of the game, booked last week because I believe in the boys.

Dominant half without getting a single decision of significance from the ref, Atletico are going to have to play differently at some point to have any hope of scoring. But needed the lead, and thatâs a great time to get it.
