Someone asked me if the 97 years between the two Mansfield games is the longest period between two games for Arsenal playing an opponent in a competitive 1st team game. The answer is no. There were 102 years between Arsenal playing Lincoln in Division 2 (6 March 1915) and the FA Cup (11 March 2017)

It's ironic that there a devout bunch of Arsenal fans who have been desperate for a trip to Mansfield since being hooked, and then they have two in the same season as most would have gone to the FA Youth Cup game in December.
