Finally watched Longlegs! Not sure if I agree with the people claiming it’s the scariest film in years but it was certainly intense! Knuckles was a very compelling and threatening antagonist, and I can admit that Robotnik getting the chaos emerald sent a chill down my spine. But wow that finale!!

Rented it on release, but saw it again in HD Spanish class as a lesson on total immersion. Solid all around. Fun take on Beowulf.

Hokum. Finally a McCarthy film that left me with some peace. Also that fuckin bell. I think my fav part is the balancing act he does between the very human plots and the ghost stories. The ghost stories are the backdrop, that’ll grab you, but the human plot is always the driver.
