There's a lot of things happening with the AI industry that indicate that its headed for a crash, one ironic factor is that it seems like AI might actually be used to create good enough corporate dogwater SAAS code, and the locally-hosted models might be able to do it without a subscription.

when people say there are too many games on steam, I think about how there are just barely too many steam games for each one to occupy a seat in the 'Big House' football stadium in Ann Arbor, but Roblox games are more numerous than the entire population of Canada.

From 2008-2018 the video games industry existed for financial interests to incubate what they wanted to become the new economy. Gambling on everything, addiction by design, mediated social spaces, even massive GPU production. They don't need games anymore so they left games behind, wounded.
