We need to get the Amnesty Report into a large media outlet. The truth must be told to the wider public. These anti-rights groups have made the lives of trans + people a living hell in the UK for the past 10 years. Defaming all trans people as predators. When they themselves are the bullies

Important🧵from Cal at the coal face. “the school staff cried” doesn’t move me any more, it angers me, as they proceed to act on govt policy and cause harm. Streeting told me, meeting the trans youth whose medication he’d removed was “really upsetting for me, really hard”. We need more than tears.

Absolutely this! In tears reading this thread. Teachers forced to harm trans children by the Labour Party, you must to call it what it is. Labour’s deliberate targeting of trans kids is utterly disgusting, it is bullying. Phillipson, Starmer & Party acquiescers must NEVER be allowed to forget this.

Trans people are banned from everything and can barely name their oppressors lest they are monstered by the media and in parliament. Never mind the threat of jail for not disclosing being trans before a sexual encounter or even for saying some shit. It's surreal being trans in the UK right now.

This is absolutely absurd. Scottish transphobes post worse about trans people, including Heather, all the time and the police sit on their hands. JKR posted an upskirt photo of a trans person, a clear crime, just this week. No action. Talk about two tier policing.

There is no free speech in the UK, especially if you're trans. While comments like they may be distasteful to some, they're purely expressive and should absolutely be protected speech. They're going after her specifically because she's trans. The UK is not safe for trans people.

A trans woman was arrested in the UK for posting on Bluesky “I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony." This was a reference to comments made by Widdecombe when she was prisons minister where she supported the handcuffing of Incarcerated pregnant women giving birth.

There's a reason I shout so loud about this. And it's not to distract people. It's because solidarity is incredibly important to me, and it should be to us all. I stand ten toes down with trans folks and all the multiply marginalised. Nothing less than liberation!

When guys are like “that’s not rape, all my friends have done that,” that’s exactly what we’re talking about. That’s the problem. Rape is so common and unpunished that a guy could casually reveal all his friends are rapists and not see it as a problem.

I don't think cis folks realize the seismic impact the rabidly anti-trans UK government has had on the thinking of trans people broadly. Used to be a widespread assumption that while few political parties were good on trans rights, at least centrists would be less horrific than far-right. No more.
