We're at the brink of war with Iran and JD Vance is in LA on a "surprise visit" despite declining protests to grandstand about Violent Democrat Uprisings He has to. MAGA is falling apart, and the break looks terminal...unless Trump can bring them together to crush a common enemy

Health insurers limit coverage of prosthetic limbs, questioning their medical necessity
Advocates say it is discrimination and are arguing for "insurance fairness" on the grounds that people who have joints surgically replaced typically don't face the same kinds of coverage challenges.

Hundreds of people have told me about suicidal ideation around their chronic pain. Many people do ultimately reach that level of hopelessness. This is 100% the fault of intentional medical neglect. I personally resonate deeply with that feeling. That is a conversation that doesn’t happen enough.

The Greeks absolutely had it right when they included a chorus in their plays. They knew audiences are dumbasses who need to be told “THIS MAN IS BAD. HE IS HERE AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT *NOT* TO DO. WOE TO THE BUMPTIOUS FOOL WHO WOULD IDOLIZE HIM. YOU ARE NOT, NOR DO YOU WANT TO BE, ALEX DELARGE”

Thanks to everyone who participated in, donated, hung out & shared Duckstream! The total (not including shirts, subs, bits and pending late donations) was around $31,000 all to help trans folks! TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS! 🏳️⚧️

Trans rights are not negotiable. As long as we have a platform, we won’t budge on that.

Duckstream 2024 was a huge success. With donations, matches, t-shirts, and Twitch revenue we’re probably looking at about $30,500 raised for TransActive. Our community blew it out of the park this year and we couldn’t be more happy to have such generous people around us.

Duckstream is still going! So far we've raised over $8k, and there's a lot of time left to hit that $10k goal. Right now Kole is steaming some wild ass RE2 mod where Kendo is still alive. Come hang out!

The man who shot & killed the CEO of United Healthcare wrote on the bullet casings, "Deny, Defend, Depose". This appears to reference the 2010 book "Delay, Deny, Defend" by Jay Feinman, which outlines the processes insurance companies use to deny claims. I hope they don't catch him.

I didn’t know the trans care bans featured language like this. I’m seeing red. It’s the “no kid should be made to feel bad about being white” argument applied to gender. Fox News-poisoned brainshit. The framing assumes that any contrary information is a de facto attack on whiteness/cisness.

On International Persons with Disabilities Day - I urge people to remember the role that privilege and financial circumstances play in someone’s ability to survive and thrive. Just like Covid caution requires a degree of financial security - disability is expensive. 🧵/1
