i think i needed a palate cleanser after the previous game i played and i've booted up Returnal, since I never finished it on ps5. it's such a wonderful concept executed so well. we need more horror-adjacent roguelites in the world

I just had an MRI and it was the hardest DJ set I've ever heard. They're like "lie still please" and I'm- but this DJ is FIRE. 909 kick at 140bpm in every cut. Accompanied by hard square waves at ear-bleeding levels. And the last cut was totally avant-garde: just one tone for 4 minutes.

While it's true you can't fully trust player opinions on balance for this reason, devs in charge of game tuning must also realize that data lies too. Balance isnt real. Only the perception of balance is. It's all vibes. Balance isnt a viable OR desirable goal. You want fun, variety, and retention.
