It is World Autism Awareness Day today! Although a few of us have been using “Acceptance” day for a few years. Why? Because awareness, on its own, is a pretty low bar. Most people are aware autism exists. That hasn't stopped the waiting lists, the lack of support, the misinformation, or the stigma.
