Appreciated the kind feedback on my crossword attempt from Steve! Show his version some love too

Took my first stab at writing a full cryptic crossword (albeit a mini one). Please give it a go and feedback would be appreciated! Sample clue: Idea that he or you hatches (6) mycrossword.co.uk/mini/130

The game is so good! I want a world where the KOTC-alike is as popular as the Roguelike. There are so many cool things to do with this (multiplayer, synchronous, asymmetric, social) kind of game architecture.

Not sure how I missed this. It's such a compliment that Greg thought King of the Castle was worth analysing with his class! I hope they found some good stuff in with the bad. This has prompted @spartridge.bsky.social and I to have a long chat about what we might've done differently (there's a lot).

Time for the answer to yesterday's cryptic crossword clue! It is 🥁🥁🥁 SHARP S (small) HARP (instrument) = SHARP (out of tune) A fairly simple one but maybe the most elegant surface I've written.

The answer is... Admonish Definition: Reprimand starting a day => ad my french => mon kinda => ish Thought there was something funny in using "mon" for "pardon my French". Though I'm not sure I nailed the landing.

I checked out the demo for Occlude, a warped game of Solitaire with an Occult twist made by the awesome people behind King of the Castle!

Occlude is a Solitaire puzzle game that plays a lot like the card game. Each puzzle has hidden rules, and if you figure them out, you get access to more lore. We figured all the rules out for the demo puzzles, and had a lot of fun with it! store.steampowered.com/app/3547010/...

Tried the Occlude demo in #steamnextfest Pretty cool! For now it is essentially a solitaire with hidden mechanics. In order to "win" the level you need to satisfy the four hidden requirements. For now I won the first level. The game is cool. Decyphering the hidden rules can tire the brain a bit.

Had a great time with some demos today: Occlude, Dispatch and Fresh Tracks. I'm off for "brunch" activities today, and hope that everyone going to "brunch" is doing so safely. We sent a raid over to @stephenjoys.com!

My Card is Better than Your Card: premise is cute, art is awesome, but gameplay can't keep my attention. Maybe it gets better further in the game, but so far it's just meh. Occlude: Very interesting twist on regular Solitaire. I can see myself puzzling on this for a while too. 8/?

played Occlude today and it was neat! was definitely a bit trickier than regular klondike but I enjoyed the difficulty. I'm going to need to give it another shot to understand the secret rules though since I didn't get any 🫠 good luck with the launch!

played this after a long day of filming with Matt - both of us crashed out on the sofa, idly clicking cards. 30mins later? sat bolt upright, fully engaged, writing notes. that's the good stuff.

I'm posting this everywhere but if you're looking for demos to play from Steam NextFest, play Occlude. This game is 100% up my alley, great if you like occult-y stuff and card games. Got all the endings that I'm aware of and can't wait for it to come out.

9. Occlude Interesting little solitaire game with rule variations you need to figure out as you go, and framing stories that change with your success or lack thereof. I like this! Finished all 3 in the demo with 4 coins, def got some bad ends along the way. And some bad good ends. Worth a look
