Here is why I like Carol Sturka in Pluribus even though she is an annoying character 😂 She is not willing to just accept this forced situation, no matter how insurmountable it may seem to change things. She is resisting what she believes is a wrong, even if she needs to do it alone. #Pluribus

It's not, nor should it be. Not with Netflix intentionally asking for shows folks can second-screen while scrolling on their phones. Vince dares folks to sit in the quiet, pay attention to the details, and live in all of Carol's moments. Good for him, and Rhea Seehorn, and this show.

Watched Pluribus “Got Milk” again. It’s a work of art. Every shot just right. The title card makes a bit more sense. Rhea Seehorn looks like Joanne Woodward.

I am really enjoying #pluribus it’s slow and deliberate but manages to keep you interested. It’s an interesting examination of what if storytelling plus good sci-fi.

Well, I got my answer in Pluribus E5 re: the end of E4 (spoilers)... Did all of the joined everywhere start crying and/or chanting "Please, Carol"? And when that phone ranging at the start of E5, I just *knew* it'd be Laxshmi. That said...

Next week's (faraway) Pluribus E6 is mysteriously titled "HDP." A Wikipedia search for HDP yields 3 interesting entries: - Hierarchical decision process - Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate (a modified food starch) - Halkların Demokratik Partisi, a Turkish ("¿ES TURCA?") political party. Hmmm...

Excellent point. Setting aside *that* cliffhanger, this was a great character-building/exploration episode. Her building that stone platform and headstone for Helen got to me.

Sharing a keen (and spoilery) observation re: the end of Pluribus episode 5... The YT channel MovieFiles just knocked out a breakdown of the episode super-fast, pointed out a telling detail... ... That in some shots of E2 and E4, dead bodies were being loaded in... into milk trucks.

Spoilers (well, not really) for Pluribus S1E5... . . . . . . . . I mean... there's only one thing that could be in under that plastic, right? Right? Based on the description already up on AppleTV for E6, there's only one thing (well, one general kind of thing) I can think it would be.

I think if you're on the same wavelength to enjoy a film like Cast Away, that spends long periods of time with a single character, often wordlessly for long stretches, that may determine whether or not you'll like Pluribus (which I do, and I do)

I don't know which drives which: studios not giving shows long enough to find an audience, or audiences not taking long enough to give a show a chance. Recall Star Trek: TNG had two very rocky, mostly "meh" first seasons, and boy did it turn things around

Every where I look people are calling Carol from Pluribus “unlikeable” - I get we are supposed to think that from the pilot, but I think she’s behaving just fine given the circumstances
