Any time the definition question comes up in my classes, I remind the students that definitions serve a purpose, and if you’re going to starting saying “this is a game and this isn’t,” you need to think hard about why you think you need to draw that line.

Many games available at the event are made by creators self-publishing for the first time. Indie Games Night Market is incredible for indie makers to lower the barriers to game publication. There will be true, one-of-a-kind items that never get printed again. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

When the conflict expands in scale & scope, the good feelings help propel people to do hard things. Shitting on the public rallies is fucking dumb. It's also ahistorical and lacks any serious engagement with the history of social movement successes in the US. It's just trashy demobilization.

Can't begin to tell you how much of an issue this is for Universities right now. It IS our duty to bring our students meaningful education that enriches their lives, but the focus on industry-specific employability is killing things like critical thinking and lifelong learning skills.
