I just did something truly humiliating this morning and was met with so little grace that I feel like I have a much bigger problem than I thought I did and now I just want to disappear.

Husband’s car has had a visible issue lately but all the other husbands in the building assume it’s MY car and have been bugging me to get it fixed, because I’m the woman driver. I… hate this microdynamic.

I had a dream I was running through Tórshavn late at night again. The sun was bright and the weather was beautiful and I had tears on my cheeks, I was so happy. I could feel the wind as I went. Last thing I remember was climbing up a steep grassy set of stairs in between colorful houses.

Wow, working with the public is so dang demoralizing. I just had someone tell me, to my face, at an arts festival: “I don’t believe in art.” It was not in a joking way. It was meant to be mean. Nothing in that job has shaken me as much as that interaction. Too much to get into but it’s chilling.
