In 1950, Ed Clark shot a photo spread of Marilyn Monroe for LIFE. The location: Fern Dell in Griffith Park. She was still a relative unknown at 24, so LIFE scrapped the pix from that day of shooting. The negatives were rediscovered in 2009 and only then were they published.
