We're all just out here trying to make art under the constraints of capitalistic forces we have no control over. None of us are out-of-touch elites, we all have feelings, and we're just trying to keep a roof over our head with enough leftover money to save up for a Switch 2. Give a little grace.

I've had times when I've almost hired someone, then saw that I blocked them for being rude online at some point (the only reason I block anyone) and that was enough for me to move on to the next person. I didn't even remember why I blocked them, but I trusted that I had a good reason when I did it.

Who do you think decides who gets hired at studios? It's not some giant faceless god, it's the artists. If they see your work, then go online and see that you spend a lot of time saying how much they suck, they're not gonna be like "Oh good, I wanna hire someone who says all my work sucks"

Hot tip: If your bio says something like "animation fan, wanna work for an animation studio someday!" and then you spend most of your posts pooping on the work that people made, the artists do actually see that, and you probably won't be getting that job anytime soon. It's just professionalism.
