Got Yoshi! I think he was pretty fun in the new movie so this is a pretty good result.

🎵 EASTER BUNNY HAS HUMAN LEGS!! 🎵

Surprisingly enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Don’t get me wrong, the story is kind of a mess and Rosalina definitely needed more screentime, but it still had enough to keep me entertained. It’s a dumb popcorn film mainly for fans, yes, but there are much worse films like that out there.

The reactions to this film have been… divisive to say the least, but like the first I’m not expecting anything amazing or even particularly good as a movie, but just pure popcorn entertainment. We’ll see how it goes

Ok, I’ll admit the intro with Jordan introducing the trailer with his kids was pretty cute, and this so far doesn’t look as bad as Luck or Spellbound. But still, the plot and characters seem very bare bones and the fact that they’re still doing the “visionary behind Toy Story” schtick; Groan 😫

You know, with all this anti-Harry Potter discussion going around I think when that trailer drops, I’ll put out a massive thread talking about my stance on the whole situation and on Harry Potter as a whole, since I think I should make things more clear and get them off my chest.

This trailer looks pretty cool. The story doesn’t seem like the most original and that joke at the end was admittedly a bit cringy. But obviously it looks fantastic with the “Spiderverse style” animation and some really creative visuals, plus it looks like it’ll have a lot of heart too.

We’ve told all the casting agents that the Weird Al biopic sequel is currently on hold, but they just keep sending in headshots.

This is a really wholesome movie. The story isn’t the greatest but it’s still got a lot of beautiful visuals and heart that still makes it worthwhile.

This reminded me how much I miss trailer narrators

It honestly makes me relived that social media and people like this didn’t exist during 20th century Hollywood. Most of the big child actors of that time like Judy Garland and Shirley Temple already had awful enough experiences and harassment like this would have made it so much worse.

Yeah, sorry Mat, I get you weren’t the biggest fan of Kpop and even I agree it wasn’t my favourite of the animated feature nominees, but comparing Golden to the songs of Emilia Perez is like comparing Let it Go to the Scuttlebutt.

Being a film lover has taught me that life is too short to get mad over what wins the Academy Award. What matters is appreciating the art of good films and celebrating the beauty in the art form. Some films won't win awards, but they'll win people's hearts. That's what matters.

Please tell me that ending joke that Mr Beast is going to be the new future host was a joke, right?

Finally, the last two, Best actress and Best Picture also weren’t surprises whatsoever. I love One Battle After Another and I cannot be more happy for PTA and everyone involved on such a fantastic movie. But overall, congrats to everyone who were both nominated and won!

I’m back: the only one of the last three that I’m not sure will win is Best Actor, the other two I’m pretty sure who will win

PTA won Best Director and that immediately indicates OBAA is gonna be the big winner and I cannot be more proud! I’ll be back in a few hours to talk about the last three awards.

Golden won!!! I know a few people are probably not too happy with this and will mostly say it’s overrated, but it’s still a great achievement especially for animated films and Kpop in general.

International Feature is almost always the most predictable each year deleting on which is the clear favourite in the other big categories. In this case it’s Sentimental Value. Edit: to quote Iago; “Oh, there’s a big surprise!”

The Golden performance was pretty great too, but I’ll be happy whichever wins, that or I Lied to You
