This album is doing weird shit to my brain. Impeccable production juxtaposed against some feral composition. Both retro and most definitely of the times.

Loved the article. Adding the book to the queue. Relevant reflections as we think about current tech affecting musicians⦠āThese examples illustrate not only how programmed beats can be complementary to traditional percussion, but how technology can grow rather than shrink the music industry.ā

If there's one absolutely plausible use for large AI models, it'd be finding options for equitable redistricting boundaries. But at least we can generate animated videos out our photos we took with our phones that also record video when we want.

I worked at a non-profit that delivers medically tailored food to people with chronic illness and there were two chefs working there on loan from Matt and Trey (and paid by them) because they wanted to keep paying their staff while they worked all that permit stuff out. Pretty generous.

Been looking forward to this since Roddy announced on his blog. Longtime FNM fan, but everyone should also check out his more recent Man on Man tracks. Bottomās melodic sense was always standout, & it was also powerful to see him come out at time when musicians werenāt doing that all that often.

Masked, anonymous men rove the country, beating and detaining anybody they care to, to meet their daily quota. Some of those people are sent to foreign concentration camps, without legal review. You are not allowed to fight back or resist in any way. These men are accountable to nobody.

Astounding hypocrisy from Rubio, a Cuban American who built his persona contrasting American freedoms w/authoritarian oppression. This move is not about keeping anyone safe. Itās about suppression - tempering critiques of president & any calls of compassion for the Palestinian people. Expect more.
