okay correction: i did figure out how to make the feel of drawing go well. i think the text tool was the dealbreaker last time i used it actually. but for sketching at least so far it's good

This is like a four year old post. It’s not *as* bad now, but I think it’s worth keeping in mind that Mastodon was never really built to be a mainstream social network. It just kind of got foisted into that position in 2022 because it was the only thing that reasonably looked like Twitter then.
