I've been wondering for a while whether basic human rights, international law, and decency could survive another three years of Starmer's Labour government. Yesterday showed it couldn't even last two. You can't say "Labour or Reform" when Labour just helped destroy the principle of human rights.

I really don’t think anyone who is on the cabinet should be there without qualifications or significant experience within the area they are representing. This has been shown to be a key problem with Covid and so many other things. Or we are heading for an RFK situation.

Why is he worth £10.8m When his staff can't afford to eat and beat their homes. Tesco staff used to get double time on a Sunday. Now it's 30 or 50p extra. All the supermarkets are very bad producers of good foods. Or paying decent wages. So why aren't we organising Co-Ops instead?

Using "electoral reform" as a Burnham selling point or a reason to stand aside in a byelection, reminds me of other #Labour promises like HOL "reform" but stuffing HOL with Lab peers. Or "home rule" but delivering nothing new. Or "Change" at GE2024, but no change in power. All just vacuous promises.

Anyone else think the Labour Party should cover the costs of this by-election? No one has died or had to resign in disgrace, this is being done purely for party political reasons. Why should we all foot the bill?
