They certainly are disputing the reality of schizophrenia and other mental illnesses when they insist these are normal reactions to life events. Ignoring genetics and intergenerational mental illness does not help patients who are struggling. Privilege does not provide immunity.

Thinking about my strategy of last few months having got ideas about not masking from loud articulate autistic voices who have like minded people within a community of support. I thought I should just unmask and be myself.

When I tell people I am exhausted it's not even the half of it. I've been out of work for 3 months now and while it's a blessing to not have to blend in anymore, I am still recovering. The years of trying to "behave" and stay "in line" when it was hurting took an unpayable toll.

Autism question! Does anyone have any good links/resources for, like, what to *do* when you're diagnosed autistic? How to examine your thinking/beliefs, work out what masking is, learn self compassion etc etc? Broad question, but I really should do something with this knew self knowledge.

These unconscionable cuts to a vital lifeline fund for some of the most vulnerable children & young adults in England are staggering - a 60% reduction from ÂŁ7.5K to just ÂŁ3K per child & even worse - these changes were introduced by the government without consultation, warning and no evidence base

I meet young people weighed down with the state of the world & you can really see how remarkable, resourceful, thoughtful souls are facing into a void of not knowing what to do. Many of the usual paths seem inaccessible. You can see how debilitating it is. Just a sense of being lost. I feel for them
