Did you know that the first person to ever earn a PhD in Art Therapy was a Black woman who lived and worked in Baltimore - Dr. Lucille Venture? Here she was featured in the Spotlight of the Week in the Baltimore Afro American paper from Oct 30, 1976 (just months before her PhD was awarded)
