I think there's an untold story here that an intrepid journalist could investigate: When a big tech company builds a data center with on-site natural gas turbines, who pays for the pipelines the utility lays or expands to bring gas to the turbines? My guess: All gas ratepayers, not the tech company.

Anyway I wondered—couldn't manufacturers install sensors on the side of a car that would emit a loud noise or even prevent someone from opening a door if a rider was approaching? The Trump administration is proposing to value the cost of air pollution deaths at $0. It’s no wonder that Trump’s EPA would take this step: avoided premature mortality is regularly the largest category of monetized benefits used to justify Clean Air Act regulation.

I know it’s overwhelming to look squarely at the moment we’re living in, knowing that we have to start phasing out fossil fuels now, but reality bites. In any case, it is TRAGIC that so many supposed climate people are producing discourse that encourages more delay instead of strategizing to win.
