Finished my first book by an author that gets tons of praise (the first in a long series), and I was... underwhelmed while being overwhelmed? It was obviously published a WHILE ago and the writing was just ok, and the character was injured and almost died so many times it approached absurdity.

Last night we drove to the east bay and saw my niece's play. We got home at 11:30. Today I took F to rehearsal, drove home, we drove back to that town for the audition, drove home, and had friends over this evening. That, combined with the SF adventure tomorrow, is a lot of activity!

Tomorrow we have a San Francisco adventure lined up with pals and I'm very excited but I'm going to need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

A lady at the fancy farmer's market was selling a gorgeous handmade mug with hand painted crows on it this morning, and I really wanted it and it was absolutely worth the price she was asking but I couldn't bring myself to spend $50 on a mug.
