Started reading Legacy: Life Among the Ruins Fascinating premise, where each player's Family is the key focus, and the PC changes from age to age. Definitely an RPG but the evolving story of each family is more important than any PC BUT it got me thinking... 1/

In other RPG reorganisation news, I think I need another scifi RPG. I've got Gamma World 7e & Paranoia, which are their own things. Trad scifi I've got WEG Star Wars, Ashen Stars, Star Hero, Traveller, Tachyon Squadron, & Trinity. That's 6. I've got 24+ fantasy RPGs and 12+ superheroes

Thanks to FB sales last year and some reorganisation, I've found I actually have space on my shelves, particularly my superhero shelf. Found a couple of superhero adjacent games to put in there tho, so that's ok #joking

FRPG GM and Player Tip: When dealing with a lot of circumstantial bonuses for a die roll against a fixed target number, roll the die before doing the math. Because if the die roll is high enough to beat the target number on its own, you probably don’t need to do the math.

This is why I think we need to give power to flavour text, so this ability has two effects: you have boundless virtuoso skill with all the RPing detail that it can encompass AND you can do that thing twice.

RPG Idea Play Crusader Kings Whenever you send envoys off to find Causus Belli or suitable marriage proposals or mercenary bands - pause the game and that's your RPG session right there. It may take a while...

Listening to a brilliant Rest is History series on Cathage / Phoenicians, and blimey if mediterranean Bronze Age civilisation isn't just a great setting for an RPG. One thing it does highlight which many RPG worlds might benefit from is emphasis of City over Nation/Civilisation
