Can someone point me to where this fits in the “economic impact study” the Blazers provided the city? Would love to see it.

I’ve been warning that these deals don’t pencil out in terms of net economic benefits, but the boosters of the deal have dismissed that perhaps because I’m a politician now or perhaps because sports econ isn’t my field. Well, their hubris has now drawn the ire of the sports economists.

has been demoted by the Oregonian for his clickbait journalism. Here Tom Dundon contradicts everything Bill has been writing about for months (that Tom’s main goal is leaving, and that it would be easy to do so.)

While we may not have hundreds of dollars in playoff tickets to gift to decision-makers, we hope we have many times that number of Portlanders in our corner and ready to make Dundon make a deal that benefits our city and our state.
