I think the Rankin/Bass version of The Hobbit is likely going to be the best adaptation of Tolkien's novel that we're ever going to get. Its art design runs the gamut from rustic to creepy to lovely, and its assortment of songs lend it a fairy tale quality that really fits the story.

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is a two hour panic attack of a movie. Rose Byrne is terrific in it, but it is so anxiety-inducing I was pleading for it to end.

Great film. Saw it for the first time this year and I never hear anybody talk about it.

Really enjoyed Wake Up Dead Man—certainly my favorite of the three—but I think Brolin was miscast. Or maybe just played it too one-note for me. Josh O’Connor just runs away with it though. Wow.
