I’ve been listening to every Fall album in order. There’s lots I could say, but the thing that’s made me pause and post here about it is that I’m so thrilled by how great ‘The Real New Fall LP’ still sounds. What a brilliant album! There’s even a song that seems to be partly about Mike Love!

After a couple of weeks working on other things, I’m doing a bit more of the Rentaghost painting.

A painting I started last month but that I’ve wanted to paint for years. Based on a photo taken in Corsica, c.2008. I’ll wait until I can see it in daylight tomorrow before I can decide whether it’s finished.

I drew this two years ago today: A couple of Valentine Dyall spirits who I imagine welcome visitors to the two roads named after him near where I live.

The more I look at this photo, the more I want to do a painting of it.

58 years ago this week, the final episode of The Prisoner was shown. This fabulous piece of music appears in it twice; I always think it sounds like a superior outtake from Pet Sounds.

I’m fascinated with the last known photos of Lennon and McCartney together, taken in Santa Monica on 29.3.74. A couple of years ago I started working on a series of drawings based on the photos - today I’ve started a painting from one of them (using a photo taken by Mal Evans.)

Had a moment to spare. Doesn't happen much. Decided that I'd search for Raiker's flask from Blake's 7 'Space Fall'. A 1970s Thermos 'Vacuum Jug'.

I’ve been occasionally painting bits of this over the last couple of weeks and it’s starting to look OK. My reason for painting it: I was impressed when I saw a can of ‘FOOT MASTER’ so I thought it was worth recording as a work of art.
