What a fabulous weekend at the Film Noir Fest run by @filmnoiruk.bsky.social! I managed to watch 13 Noir and Crime films on the big screen! Highlights for me were seeing The Asphalt Jungle, Rififi and Gun Crazy on the big screen. And the best new film to me was Plunder Road. #filmsky

Four shining moments for me at @filmnoiruk.bsky.social Festival today. Gun Crazy obvs, but also the measured tension and sly red herrings of Plunder Road, the claustrophobic Beware My Lovely and the Neil-Branded Forgotten Faces with its lucid silent grammar. A memorable weekend, thank you.

Only one film for me in @filmnoiruk.bsky.social Fest this year in the means streets of the place that never sleeps, Weston-super-Mare, but it was a fine one: Forgotten Faces (1928), supported by The Great Train Robbery (1903). And with added bonus of music from the great Neil Brand.
