Netflix once again is the lesser evil. WBD employees should not feel concerned with them, they should feel even more concerned with Skydance as U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren called that a "five-alarm antitrust fire".

There's also more of a concern about how Paramount is funding their bid. $24b comes from Middle East sovereign wealth funds, more than twice of what actually comes from the Ellison family ($11.8b). $1b from Tencent. RedBird Capital Partners. Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners.

Paramount Skydance has already proven themselves to be vicious with layoffs. Paramount Global had 18,600 staff in 2024, Paramount Skydance has already whittled it down to 13,800. As of 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery has *35,000* staffers.

Just gonna be blunt and say I think a merger with Paramount would be far worse than Netflix. The Ellison family would have control over Paramount, WB, CBS News, CNN, and dozens of cable networks. A separate deal has Larry Ellison taking over TikTok too. I don't like that feeling.
