People proclaiming to protect public safety are kidnapping, caging, & killing community members. From South Bay to Minneapolis, from sheriffs’ offices to ICE, it’s the same story. It’s not about training; it’s about power & endless resources with no accountability. Gov’t violence is not safety.

ICE agent Jonathan Ross killed Renee Nicole Good, 37, while she was in her car on Jan. 7. The fatal shooting was at least the 9th time ICE agents have shot into cars since September. At least 5 people have been killed in Trump's immigration crackdown. 32 others died in ICE custody last year.

This is horrific. ICE just murdered a woman in Minnesota in broad daylight. This rogue, violent agency has no business in our communities and must be abolished. And the agents involved must be held fully accountable.

Prison guards are flocking to ICE jobs and frankly this makes sense. Those of us who have been anti-prison organizers for decades have been saying that fascism already existed within prisons/jails. Our best teachers for how to survive fascism are incarcerated people.

MA has contracts with ICE aka the American gestapo - Plymouth Co jail & DOC. ICE detains men they’ve kidnapped in Plymouth. They pick up people from DOC custody who have already been punished. Over a thousand protesters gathered in Somerville, Massachusetts, on Wednesday to demand the freedom of Rumeysa Ozturk, a Tufts PhD student and Fulbright scholar abducted by ICE agents. Ozturk is believed to have been targeted for co-authoring an opinion piece for her student newspaper about Gaza.

In the Tufts street-abduction case, where the federal judge ordered the woman not taken out of MA without notice and the woman now is in Louisiana, what happens next? Yesterday the judge ordered DOJ to file a response by 9 am today, responding to a motion to produce. Due within an hour.

ICE is people. They drive vehicles and park them, they work and live in buildings, they go places to get coffee and lunch. Just mentioning these basic facts for consideration.
