Cartoonist! He/Him. BOOMERANG GANG comic strips, TBA. Portfolio: joebortner.com
feeling pleasant vibes but ultimately mixed about Pokémon Legends ZA; Arceus was the first game in the series since the DS that i really wholeheartedly loved and this introduces a lot of fun stuff but still feels a lot more shallow to me

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

CHINGA LA MIGRA 🐊💥 risograph prints will be with me at SPX on some kind of sliding scale, with sales donated to the Florida Immigrant Coalition, a coalition of advocacy groups across the state, and CASA, a group active here in Maryland as well as Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Official statement on ICE cosigned by 130+ KidLit & YA authors and illustrators. We are calling on publishers to not preemptively censor themselves in the face of this current administration and to protect marginalized creators. 🧵

I have no idea what the consensus is among fans but today’s Doctor Who is surely the worst episode since the Whitaker era in my book lmao…total return to conservatism posturing as what the show seems to think are vaguely left politics. Promising start in there but basically identical to “Kerblam”

Reyyan Bilge, a psychology prof at Northeastern, told the Globe that he has known Ozturk for more than a decade and described her as soft-spoken and kind. "If you were to actually have a chat with her for about five minutes, you would understand how kind and how decent a person she is," she said.

the value that you get in these strip collections is practically unmatched. I keep begging Joe to raise the price, he's basically losing so much money. But he's simply too noble - a man of the people. Buy his comics!
