The roar of victory that echoed in my house after FINALLY beating this Silksong boss after 8 hours was… loud

This Silksong boss is utter insanity. High health, can dodge most attacks, can parry, do double damage. Even trying to build up silk to use against her is extremely difficult

I do need to start planning case 3 of our RPG game and send some job letters off, but today it’s also Hades 2 release day \o/ Plus I do need to finish these last bits in Silksong

Some point I want to explore more sci-fi that draws from cultures across Africa and from authentic voices. This wont happen until I have funds again (sadly could be a while), but if anyone wants to give recs, I'll leave this here to draw from eg I have read Womb City which I thoroughly enjoyed 🪐📚💙

A break from my usual grumps: Jendia consistently puts out some of the most stunning looking books across a whole range of genres, getting nowhere near enough recognition I've read her short stories and will get to her space opera, but look through the backlist/preorders and buy her books 🪐📚💙

I've got a Kirk and Spock from the second pilot in the posta and a McFarlane Kirk on the way. Debating whether to buy Kirk in his chair, Kirk in dress uniform with Khan and the Amok Time set. Obviously, I'll buy all of the above. 2/2

Watched these three older Fu Manchu films this week. Mask and Mysterious are very good and the Return is decent enough. As with the books, the arrogance, attitudes and casual racism of the British characters make Fu Manchu a very sympathetic character, which I suspect was not the intention.

A customer just came into the shop and bought 12 books for her friend’s birthday. She’s going to wrap them individually and write a different month of the year on each one, so her friend has a new book to read every month until her next birthday. And I think that’s just the most thoughtful gift.

After days of looking, I have finally located a hidden section I’d been trying to access. Extremely well hidden and not accessed where I expected It’s an incredibly deadly area.. I hope there’s no boss if this is what the trash mobs are like! Still no guides used!

The series is well worth buying for all scifi fans. Good fun, fantastic characters, fast paced, an excellent setting and action packed Book 2 is the best for me, but some of the stuff in the third book was amazing Hoping for more 🪐📚💙

Refreshing my Hades gaming skills. Took a run to remember what’s what, but got past the Hydra then Charon beat me up after trying to “borrow” gold from him.. Apparently managed a full completion run in 28 mins back in the day

I’m at a Silksong crossroads. Do I push on to the end, or continue to scrape the map to get these last few secrets that have baffled me? I’ve resisted guides so far which has been hugely satisfying when exploring, but I’m genuinely confused by some things to the point I suspect something bugged

My Silksong time has now surpassed my total Hollow Knight time Another secret boss beaten and still lots of secrets to uncover before I move on This was a cool fight, but with all the upgrades I’m carrying, it only took a couple of tries
