AI has been trained on naked images (porn). The nudification of an image is not, therefore, a tool that is in anyway separate from the general use tool. You can try and protect against users using it for those purposes (an AI might actually help here...) but you can't guarantee that will work.

We might expect a degree of misinformation (aka "fantasy") about a far flung city that's hard to get to and where communication out and in is highly restricted, but... London? What worries is that anyone would have such views, based on a few right-wing commentators and self-serving politicians.

Vaguely surprised so many are willing to argue for indefinite detention without trial - which is what remand is, once it exceeds the Crown Prosecution Service "maximum" of 6 months. Yes, they can extend it and yes they do, but you might hope those were exceptional cases.

Maybe don't give guns (and a sense of immunity) to people who haven't been trained to cope with scared and angry people - and I mean "not shooting at them" when I say cope. It can't be that hard, can it? And heck, if you do give guns to those not properly qualified, that's a YOU fuck up, isn't it?

The "fun" thing about this is whether Trump would insist it be unbanned, (at pain of tariff) or whether Musk has truly burnt his bridges. UK - "We don't want your deepfake kiddie porn" Trump - "I insist" UK - "..."

Every time a cop or other authority figure kills someone, or unleashes a chemical weapon on the public, they should stand trial. They might have the very best reason for doing so, in which case they'll be found not guilty. But these are the people who are supposed to protect and serve. They failed.

ICE are shooting unarmed, American citizen, poets. And then arguing that this unarmed American poet was using her vehicle as a weapon. That her murder, and it was a murder, was somehow justified. Not regrettable, not an accident. JUSTIFIED.

One VERY good reason why Greenland shouldn't want to be run by the US any more than Venezuela, Canada, or anywhere else, is that the US, in particular ICE, is busy killing anyone they don't like the look of, who doesn't do exactly what they say, or who struggles to maneuver their car on icy roads.

It's massively simplistic to suggest that Trump "works" for Russia. He works for himself. So much so, he has no objections to doing something that massively advantages Putin, as long as it also advantages himself. Similarly, no objections to doing shit that disadvantages the US, long as he "wins".

"US says it has seized tanker in Atlantic linked to Venezuelan oil" I SUPPOSE it's a small improvement they didn't just blow it to shit. But the US issuing a sanction, and then "justifying" military operations "anywhere in the world" by that sanction, ought to do more than raise alarm bells...

If Musk and X claim it is too difficult to prevent Grok sexualising images, (and I'd say ALL of them are inappropriate since they're not done with permission, just that some are even more innappropriate than others) then - have they tried training an AI to prevent it?

How many people is the US allowed to kill to capture an alleged criminal? Who answers for the crime of killing security staff? Does it matter if they are foreigners, or US nationals? Military, or civilians? How innured are we to "airstrikes" on foreign countries, that we don't ask these questions?

How is it a criminal offence to possess machine guns presumably in a foreign country, when you're that country's president? Is Trump trumping up charges? And - heck - is Trump liable to be kidnapped and arrested for "possessing nuclear weapons"? (which have been banned by the UN).

I get it: it's exhausting. It takes time to respond, time to react, time to do legal due process. But the consequence is that you're constantly wrong-footed, by shifts and u-turns and unexpected actions. To resist, you don't have to guard against every inanity. But you do have to take a solid stand.

Trump must be wetting himself with excitement over the lame the response to his Venezuelan incursion and multiple murders. Even if there was an international arrest warrant out for Maduro (there wasn't) killing his security team is straight out murder. And yet the US, and world, mostly shrugs.
