Nope. This trade doesn’t affect the #habs at all. They will still play v Tkachuk whether he is in OTT or FLA. The Panthers chose to go big by sacrificing the future - like many teams do, or have done. While, the #habs stay the course and build from within for the long haul! They’re up for it!

Puck retrieval is a key skill for defencemen. It's not measured by any stats I have seen but successful retrieval is key to controlled breakouts that lead to successful offensive zone entries and scoring chances. IMO, Lane Hutson is the most effective on the #Habs, others need a lot of work.
