Adam Engstrom has been called up by the Montreal Canadiens for their Western road trip. Not impossible that he plays but my sense is that with Laval only playing next Saturday, this was at the very least a reward for his hard work and development.

I don’t remember ever seeing Slafkovsky as aware of the amount time and space he has with the puck like he has tonight. He’s patient when he can be and has been attacking opening when he has them.

Slafkovsky is using his size and strength to get to the net and make plays. That’s his game. He is NOT a Tom Wilson or a Tkatchuk Sorry, had to correct previous posts.:)

Oh my god, I've been waiting three years for Slafkovsky to slow the game down as effectively as he does on this goal. He had so much calm and patience and understanding... So sweet that must have been in his brain.

Lane Hutson is a completely different type of defenceman than Chris Pronger was and it seems to make it hard for him to relate.

Nice goal by Veleno, liked the hard shot but also liked the way he broke-up the play at center ice to get that play going. Veleno has played better hockey in the past 3 games or so.

I feel bad for the human being but man, but he is completely rattled these days. Dobes has to be the number one starter and if they have to use Montembeault, make sure its on the road for the time being.

If I knew this would be the Habs power-play tonight, I would have complained alongside Tom Wilson on that non-call.

Try to avoid the negativity. January marks month 48 of the rebuild. It's the second fastest rebuild in NHL history. Yeah, when the rebuild is in its nascent stage at year 4, the roster will be thin still. Of course, it will. Two months of strife doesn't change the power of this rebuild.

Putting Demidov on the 2nd power play unit is not a disaster. Let’s not forget that he’s still young, a rookie and on the 2nd unit PP, he will also be facing the 2nd unit penalty kill unit. This could be a good thing for a player who likes holding to the puck and be creative

The Hab right now remind me of the Habs team at the start of last season, the one that was the second worse team in the league: bad goaltending, bad defensive coverage, trying to get cute offensively, etc.

Habs will had to find a way to had to bruins chase after them, and that will happen if they can make quicker, more accurate passes.

If the Hab don’t score, the Bruins will be very pumped up.

Thinking that a short-handed goal and a nice save will be a welcomed sequence for the Habs

According to the Habs official account, it looks like they will be using Kapanen a center and Dach at wing. Considering the Habs current roster, I am ok with these lines. It’s an imperfect lineup, can’t do a thing about it
