Loving Demidov's hustle tonight. He has been a demon on the forecheck. Not just a skilled player - he competes.

No official assist on the goal, but great work by Kapanen screening the goalie...who didn't move on the Carrier shot. In scouting him extensively, Kapanen spends a lot of time in the crease area. Not afraid to take the pounding, and is very good at tipping pucks as well.

I pored over Zharovsky's first game, and have ALL of the highlights in this podcast. Trust me...it wasn't just the goal and assist that were impressive!! Habs have mined Russian gold in each of the past two drafts.

I have been thoroughly impressed with Struble in camp, and suggest that he may be every bit as good as, or even better than, Guhle down the road. Two promising young defencemen with tons of upside.
