THIS DATE IN #HABS HISTORY Jan. 11, 1948: Toe Blake fractured his ankle crashing into the boards during a 3-1 loss to Rangers in New York. The injury ended Blake's playing career after winning two Stanley Cups with Canadiens. He would go on to win eight more as team's head coach.

Happy birthday to Rob Ramage, the Canadiens' director of player development, who turns 67 today. He was the No. 1 overall pick at 1979 NHL Draft by Colorado Rockies and was a defenceman with #Habs Stanley Cup team in 1993.
