I learned recently that it’s an insult in Germany to call someone “hobbyless” or to engage in “hobbyless behavior” and it’s become my favorite way to think of assholes who have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. Get a hobby. Build a model train and calm down.

I’m trying to get over myself and posting art that will never be “perfect” but good enough. I have so many WIPs so I’m going through my backlog a bit. Idk why I can be such a weenie and shy about sharing my art sometimes (I guess because I see it as not being up to my high, self-imposed standards).

I think it’s beautiful that you can draw something badly and you can always console yourself by saying “at least I didn’t use ai to do it” there is bravery in trying

Once in a while I think about how I might scare people a bit with the extent of my Yakuza hyperfixation. But then I remember how many people are into Sports.

I’ve got to be going through burnout… I haven’t been able to draw much lately and we’ve been so busy. But things are slowing down. Don’t have any travel plans for a few months now so hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and do the hobbies I like 😿 I’ve just been playing Picross to cope.
